Baby Shower Games

Looking for fun games to play at your next baby shower?  Feel free to try one (or all!) of our favorites!

We are always looking for new and unique games.  If you would like to share a baby shower game that was a big hit, please email us at info@bellababy-boutique.com.  Enjoy!

Who's That Baby

When sending out your baby shower invitations, invite each guest to bring to the shower one of their baby pictures.  When each guest arrives, discretely get their baby picture and lightly pencil a number on the back of each photo.  Then make a corresponding list so you will know what number belongs to which person to be used at the end of the game.

To play the game, pass out paper and a pencil to each guest.  The host then shows the baby picture to all the guests informing them of the number assigned to the picture.  The guests then write down who they think the baby picture belongs to. Then do the same with the next picture and so on.  The guest who identifies the most baby pictures correctly is the winner.

Baby Sketch
Each guest will get a white paper plate and a pencil.  Ask them to draw a picture of a baby, but they only have 30 seconds to complete the drawing.  However, to make things interesting, the guests have to complete the drawing with the plate on top of their head, instead of in front of them. The Mommy-to-Be decides which drawings are the best and the winner(s) get a prize.

Dirty Diapers

The host will need 5 disposable or cloths diapers and 5 different candy bars for this game (be sure to get some with nuts, toffee, caramel, etc).  Number the diapers 1-5 and put a different candy bar in each diaper (be sure and make a list of what candy bar is in each diaper to determine the winner).  Put the diapers in the microwave until the candy is slightly melted.  Have each guest examine all five diapers and write down what candy bar they think is in each diaper.  The guest with the most correct answers wins!  This is a great ice breaker game and much harder than it sounds!  The pictures of the guests “sniffing” dirty diapers is a great keepsake too!

Baby Talk

Pass out paper and pen to each guest.  Set a time limit of 5-10 minutes and ask each guest to write down as many baby-talk terms they can think of and what each one means.  For example, wa-wa means water, tee-tee means going potty, etc.  Since we all use different terms to communicate with children, there is no right or wrong answer, but it is too funny to read them aloud and learn what other people are using to communicate with little ones.  Your guests will get a big kick out of this game.

Supportive Diapers

Give each guest a disposable diaper and a marker.  Ask each person to write some words of encouragement for the Mother and Father “to be”  for middle of the night diaper changes.  These can be words of advice, encouragement, or playful teasing.  For example:  (YAWN) Aren’t you tired?  Better you than me!  Good luck!”

Words of Wisdom
Have the host cut out different baby objects from construction paper (baby bottle, handprint, footprint, baby cap, pacifier, etc.).  Hand them out to each guest and ask them to write some words of wisdom and congratulations for the new parents and sign their name.  Once all the guests complete theirs, compile them into a scrapbook as a memento for the parents, as well as a reference for later.
