Developmental Benefit:

Stacking Cups develop baby’s thinking skills by letting baby experiment with how different objects of different sizes and colors look when they go together in different ways.  This teaches size and color differences as well as spatial relationships.

Play Tips:

• Show baby how to take the cups out of each other.  Baby will understand how to take the cups out before learning how to put them back in.
• First baby will be able to put the smallest cups inside of the largest cup.  As baby grows, he will learn how to nest all four cups in the right order.
• Build a tower and show baby how to knock it over.  As baby grows, he will learn how to put a small cup on top of a larger cup and later, he will learn to stack all the cups in the right order.
