Here’s a horse of a different color—lots of different colors!  Tufts of colorful ribbons festoon his head and tail, encouraging baby to touch.  Push his orange saddle to hear the little pony make 3 different horse sounds.  Pull on one leg to make the opposite limb get shorter.  Four hoofed feet filled with colorful beads and shapes make different rattling sounds.  Recommended for ages 6+ Months.  Approximate size:  6” x 6” x 1.5”.

Developmental Benefit:

Hug & Tug Horse develops baby’s thinking skills by providing lessons in cause and effect: when baby pulls one leg, it gets longer and another one gets shorter.  When baby pushes down on the saddle it makes three fun sounds.  Shaking each foot produces different rattling sounds. 

Play Tips:

• Show baby how to hold the toy in one hand and pull on the leg with the other.  Baby is learning two-handed play.
• Rattle each of the horse’s hooves for baby.  Listening to each one helps baby learn to differentiate between various sounds.
• Play with baby and this toy to encourage social interaction.
